Thank you to our community partners

The Monitor has several community partners that help directly support coverage on specific issues, from education to housing. These partnerships help us sustain our award-winning coverage. The list below details who is supporting what type of coverage. In all cases, our community partners do not influence what the Monitor covers or how we cover it. The Monitor maintains editorial control in all circumstances.

Concord Monitor editorial independence policy

The Concord Monitor accepts gifts, grants and sponsorships to help sustain local news coverage. In all cases, the Monitor maintains complete editorial control in all aspects of its reporting. Our funders agree to support us because they value the role of a free and independent press. They have no influence on what or how we report and have no advance knowledge of specific stories we are pursuing. Accepting financial support does not mean we endorse donors or their products, services or opinions.

Hometown Heroes

A weekly story about someone in our communities who has gone above and beyond. Readers nominate Hometown Heroes and Monitor editors select the recipients.

Education

The Monitor’s education beat covers this critical issue from the classroom to the state house, and everywhere in between.

Two New Hampshires

This beat focuses on disparity and the economic divide in New Hampshire. Our partners help support daily reporting.

On The Trail

A weekly column about campaign politics in our state by New Hampshire-based national reporter Paul Steinhauser.

News For Your Neighbor

Our corporate sponsors match reader donations to help those who cannot afford a digital subscription become better connected to their communities. We partner with area nonprofits to help identify those who’d be best served. The money we raise is reinvested back into the newsroom.

Become a community partner: The Concord Monitor is looking for partners to support health care and environment reporting positions. If you’d like to hear more, contact publisher Steve Leone at [email protected].
